Free Medical Outreach organized by URS in Umuahia
The United Royal Sisters (URS) recently organized a Free Medical Outreach in Umuahia, bringing vital healthcare services to the community. Held at the city’s central park, the event aimed to provide basic medical care, consultations, and health education to residents, particularly those who might not have easy access to healthcare.
A team of dedicated doctors, nurses, and volunteers offered services such as blood pressure checks, diabetes screening, eye exams, and general medical consultations. In addition, free medications were provided to those in need, and health talks on nutrition, hygiene, and preventive care were conducted.
The outreach was well-received by the local community, with over 500 residents benefiting from the services. URS emphasized that the initiative was part of their ongoing commitment to improving public health and raising awareness about the importance of regular health check-ups. The success of the event highlighted the positive impact of community-driven healthcare initiatives.
